About Us
We decided to move fom town to just outside of town to the country in 2011.Best decision we ever made. We can think of no better place to raise our family. Our property is almost seven acres located just north of Aurelia, Iowa. We decided to start Country Kennel as a local option for home based boarding in a family atmosphere. If you are like us, the decision to leave our four-legged family members for any length of time is not taken lightly. We want you to know that we will treat your dog the same way we want ours treated. We currently have several of our own dogs and some barn cats.

Spacious Indoor-Outdoor Suites
Country Kennel understands the importance of comfort for all pets that stay with us while you are away. We offer separate living quarters for pets of all sizes. Each pet will enjoy comfortable indoor-outdoor suites designed for small and full-sized furry friends. We also offer double-sized Family Suites for multiple dogs that prefer to stay together. Our building is climate controlled, has automatic waters, video cameras, and either a radio on or the tv so the dogs can feel comfy! Our kennel is also very safe and secure even for small dogs and escape artists. With your pets stay they will receive a cot or blankets, one outdoor play time, and milkbone treats. Dog Baths
Do you want your dog to have a bath before going home? Let us know at drop off . Prices vary depending on size of dog. We do not currently have a groomer for haircuts so only baths are offered at this time.
Playtime
For your fur babies ,Country Kennel offers one individual playtime. (weather permitting) Let one our trusted members throw a ball or play tag in one of our spacious fenced yards.

Things to know.
DOGS MUST BE ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES!
Vaccinations must be up to date and not expire during stay
Bring plenty of food in seal container or individual ziploc bags
Feel free to bring blankets, toys, treats or whatever else makes your dog comfy.
